Our Team

CEO -- Jeff Rivera

Jeff Rivera began his career as a self-published author. Through diligence and persistence he mastered an online marketing campaign that garnered over 8000 copies of his book in circulation with absolutely no money. The efforts did not go unnoticed as Warner Books (now known as Grand Central Publishing) quickly acquired the rights to his novel.  Rivera now coaches other authors how to build their own author platforms as well as creates viral marketing campaigns for them.  His reach into the book publishing community is extensive and he currently is a columnist for book publishing mega-site, Mediabistro, GalleyCat, and Huffington Post.  He has written for School Library Journal Teen and appeared on NPR, American Latino TV, Publishers Weekly, and a number other notable media outlets.

COO -- Scott Kaufman

Scott Kaufman began his career as an independent producer. His keen sense of what is hot and what is not did not go unnoticed as he was quickly snatched up by a reputable literary and talent agency.  Kaufman now handles operations and corporate sales for Gumbo Entertainment.

Executive Assistant --Leica Meliton

Leica Meliton is a graduate of the University at Buffalo, College of Arts and Sciences.  After dabbling in freelance editing and a number of internships in the publishing industry, she joined the Gumbo Entertainment team as the Lead Executive Assistant to the CEO.  She handles all media requests, scheduling, administrative as well as celebrity booking for Jeff Rivera's successful web series on Huffington Post.
